April 12th - Join us for the 2024 State of Education Community Luncheon @ Wallace State Community College. This will be a dynamic event bringing together educators, administrators, and community leaders to discuss the current state of education. This year's luncheon promises insightful discussions, engaging speakers, and networking opportunities aimed at fostering a stronger, more inclusive educational community. April 19th - Celebrate "Go fly a kite" day with your Good Neighbors! Free kites all day.

April 27th - We remember this day very well. Sixty-two tornadoes tracked across Alabama over an 18-hour period, carving out a damage path of more than 1,200 miles. At least 240 people died, and even more were injured.

Whole communities were destroyed. Some areas were hit more than once.

It was one of the largest tornado outbreaks in the U.S. to this day. The whole event spanned from April 25 until the 28th, but April 27th was the peak.
